Top Q: What are the sign up fees?A: We usually hold an "Early Bird" Sign up during January that allows parents to sign up their children for $55/first player and $40/additional players.
Our regular sign up fees are $65 (Major & Minors) for the first child and $40 for all additional children. T-ball and Rookie players are $55. Babe Ruth is $120.
As part of the sign up fee softball and boy's minor/majors players receive a full uniform which includes: pro logo jersey, hat, pants and socks. T-Ball and Rookie players receive pro logo jersey and hats.
Also included in the sign up fee is insurance coverage for every player while participating in league sanctioned activities.
Our league strives to have the lowest possible sign up fees, and we are on average one of the most affordable leagues in the entire state while being able to offer full uniforms, insurance and our own fields to play on.

If you are interested in being a part of the Board of Directors for URCR please contact us!
Top Q: Where does the money from my sign up fee go?A: We annually budget for many different expenses each year, a typical breakdown from a regular sign up fee would be as follows:
Uniform -$32 (Pro logo Jersey, hat, pants, socks, Jersey also includes cost of screen printing) T-Ball and Rookie players receive Pro logo jersey and hat.
Insurance-$9.25
Charter-$2.00
Field Usage-$8.25
Equipment-$8.00 (includes replacement equipment & balls)
Awards-$2.50
We also have expenses including: utilities, equipment repair, field upgrades and renovation, & umpires. We tightly budget our funds each year to ensure that our parents get the most out of the annual registration fee.
As you can see the average cost per player is much higher than what we charge for registration.
A big thank you to our sponsors who allow us to keep our fees as low as possible!! Our Board meetings are open to everyone, and if you have further questions about finances, please attend one of our meetings.
Top Q: Who manages the fields?A: Upper Rogue Cal Ripken manages Southern Oregon Fields through a long term contract with Jackson County. All kids play in URCR, and we truly care about our players and parents!! URCR is a volunteer organization, each parent can choose how involved they want to be, whether it's coaching, cheering from the sidelines or being involved with the Board of Directors!
Our program is getting better every year, each year we look at suggestions we receive during the season to make the changes neccessary to provide the best experiences! URCR is your league, and your input and participation is vital to its success!!
Also, URCR is building a reputation as one of the premier league's in entire state of Oregon. Last year our 9-10 year old boy's were crowned State Champions and played very well at the Pacific Northwest Regional. Our 11 year old boy's teams have been South Oregon State Champs for two consecutive years, and our 10 and 12 year old Girls Softball teams both finished 2nd at the State tournament and qualified for the PNW Regional in 2006.
While we are proud of these accomplishments we realize that some kids just want to have fun and play ball, and that is truly what Upper Rogue Cal Ripken is all about.
